Privacy policy

Last updated October 28, 2026

Trowelweb is a web design business in Ohio. This page explains, in plain English, what information we collect on this website and what we do with it.

What we collect

We only collect what you choose to send us:

• Contact form: your name, business name, phone number or email address, and the best time to call you.
• Project form (after you buy a package): your contact details and the information about your business you want on your new website, such as your services, hours and style.

This website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers.

How we use it

We use your details only to contact you and to build and look after your website. We don't sell, rent or trade your information, and we don't add you to a mailing list unless you ask us to.

Payments

Payments are handled by Stripe. When you pay, you enter your card details on Stripe's secure page, not on our site, and we never see your full card number. Stripe tells us your name, email, what you bought and whether the payment went through. Stripe handles your payment information under its own privacy policy.

Who else sees it

Our forms are handled by Netlify, our website host, which stores your message and emails it to us. Netlify may also keep standard server logs, such as your IP address and browser type, for security and to keep the site running. Netlify handles that information under its own privacy policy.

The speed check on our homepage sends you to Google's PageSpeed Insights site. We don't receive the address you test. Google's privacy policy applies once you're on its site.

We may share information if the law requires it.

How long we keep it

We keep your details while we're talking with you or working together, and for as long as we need them for our business records. Ask us to delete them and we will, unless we're legally required to keep them.

Your choices

You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we have about you at any time. Just email us.

Children

This website is for business owners. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13.

Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update it on this page and change the date at the top.
